Holiday Inn Express Chillicothe East

Clean, quiet hotel with basic amenities. Rooms were slightly larger than expected, based on the type of hotel. Beds were unusually tall/high, which may pose a problem for children and people with disabilities, but the mattress was firm and there were both feather and non-feather-filled pillows on each bed. There was only one wash cloth and three towels in my room with two queen beds. There was an on-site free breakfast buffet with two meat and two egg choices, as well as cereal, oatmeal, and make-your-own pancakes. Bagel and pastry choices were slightly better than expected, based on my experiences with in-house buffet-style breakfasts. Decor was modern and well-maintained. The price was higher than average for the brand of hotel, location, and a Thursday night.

Great location right off of the highway. Clean rooms, nice pool, friendly and helpful staff. Very quiet location, and close to dining. The check in process was smooth. The kind woman at the front desk was great, especially with it being her second day of employment there. I will be happy to stay at this location again in the future.

Shower and drain did not work properly. Toilet seat loose. We were traveling with our pet and I’m sure put in a designated “pet” room. Our comforter was covered in dog hair. Just because you travel with a four legged family member doesn’t mean you are not concerned about cleanliness. I would give fewer stars but the young ladies that checked us in were delightful.

Checked in, the young lady in front desk was so nice and friendly. I had checked in through my app. I was given a room immediately. As I entered the room, it smelled so bad! It was the smell of pot ( marijuana)! My son and I got into the room ahead of my husband and we were disgusted by it. My husband was about to enter but I told him not too. I know he would have been disgusted by the smell. I immediately went to tell the lady to please move me to another room. I told her the reasons for my dissatisfaction. She was friendly and moved me to another floor. The bathroom was dirty. The floor had hair and the bottom of the cabinet ( where the blow dryer is) was thick with dust. They never clean that lower part!! The TV remote did not work when pressed the start button. We ended up pressing the start button on the TV and we were able to use the remote that way. The location is not the best, but it's not the worse. It's located about 7 minutes from where all the stores and restaurants are. Not far. The room does have a microwave and and a nice size fridge.

Came in while driving through, I was tired. Place seemed ratchet so I asked if there was any issues. Checked in to last room. It smelled of marijuana and when I said something I didn’t even get a sorry and for sure not a discount. What a horrible place. I get people make bad choices but apologize or offer a discount. Room was hot and shade doesn’t block anything. So light was shining in all night long. Horrible evening of sleep!
